About

Artworks: Collage, Photography, Painting, Drawing, Writing.

The work in this website was created between 1976 and the present. However, my art “career” started under my mother’s coffee table with a pack of crayons before I was five. In 1981, I earned a MFA in pictorial arts with an emphasis in photography from San Jose State University. In the ensuing decades, I worked as a caterer, technical photographer, graphic artist, life science lab technician, research analyst, pharmaceutical industry consultant, entrepreneur, and art teacher. In 2020, I completed a Master of Liberal Arts at Stanford University where I studied the pathways of creative influence.

Through it all, I have made art.  It is alive in me everyday – it is my life. Art is in my home: in the way I arrange, collect, and work in it. It is in my food: in what I buy, grow, prepare and serve. It is integral to life with my child and husband with whom I enjoy art, nature, and music. And, art is through my hands, heart, mind, and a hungry passionate place behind my eyes, before, during, and after creating.

All works are a result of explorations of the intersection of sensual and intellectual stimuli as they relate to our small time and place in this vast universe.
